About Me

A Company Event To Remember

by Hal
(Kansas City, MO, USA)

I was attending an employer-sponsored weekend in the North Georgia Mountains. One particular evening the entertainment was karaoke.

In my young adult years I had always dreamed of being a singer but never had taken it any further. During that night I decided to get up on stage - sober!.

I sang Elton John's "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me". About half way through I was so into it that I was practically screaming and waving my hands in the air; all the while with my eyes shut.

All of a sudden I felt someone poke me on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and all of my fellow co-workers were holding lit matches or lighters and waving their hands back and forth. I truly felt like a star but I was so embarrassed and remained that way for the rest of the weekend.
