alexander technique - an exercise for a better future

by saurabh
(pilani)

I have been playing the acoustic guitar for over 8 years now, I used to practice rigorously for about 5 hours a day, sitting in front of my computer learning how to play.

Sitting for such long hours made my back hurt and playing continuously took a toll on my fingers too. I realized that I was unable to write properly as my fingers used to ache, also during examinations it became difficult to sit where lengthy essays had to be written.

I came across the Alexander technique and incorporated this method into my daily routine. Since then I have corrected my posture and taken the right steps to ensure that my music is not affected and neither is my study at school.

I began to fair better in class and attained higher grades and my music has improved too.

I am really glad that I started using the alexander technique, it has been really helpful.
