About Me

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

by Pinky
(Batam, Indonesia)

When I was pregnant in January 2009, nothing much happened to me except heavy vomiting. But during the 7th month of pregnancy, I suddenly started to feel a slight pain in my left wrist and numbness in the fingers.

Day by day the pain and numbness became worse; I couldn't even lift a plate, or rub myself while taking bath. So I went to my doctor and the doctor told me it was Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Very few women get Carpal Tunnel Syndrome during pregnancy, but unfortunately I was one of the few. I was advised to rest my hand completely, but that was impossible, so it became worse and started swelling. My words cannot explain the horrible pain I went through. The pain never left me even after delivery; in fact, it became worse than ever before; I could not even lift my baby!

I did not have any treatment but wore a therapy glove to support my whole hand. I wore it 24 hours a day and gradually with the help of the glove, I could lift my baby again. Wearing the therapy glove was so successful that after a month, the pain completely disappeared and now I have a normal wrist again. Thank God for the therapy glove.
