About Me

Frozen Like Ice

by Steve
(Caribbean)

My embarrassing moment came after I had been practicing for hours on a solo I'd written for a new song. The night of the performance came and before going on stage, I was very nervous.

Finally my group was called to the stage and we began playing, and then came the solo part of the song.

All was going fine until I came to the middle of the solo where the difficult part was; I just froze, I forgot what it was that I was supposed to play. Everyone was just staring at me as if to say get off the stage.

I just wanted to crawl into a hole and disappear. What made me feel worse was when the master of ceremony asked me if I couldn't play my instrument.

After the show, I didn't even want to show my face. I got into my car and drove straight home.

I have been working on self improvement and stage presence ever since.
