Iontophoresis for Tendonitis Pain

I've had several recurrences of tendonitis from practicing piano, using a computer and riding a bicycle (you also use those tendons when holding the handlebars too tight). I received physical therapy for it each time but nothing really worked.
I did some research and I discovered Iontophoresis as a treatment for tendonitis and I mentioned it to my doctor. He agreed that it might work since nothing else had.
Since it uses a prescription medication he had to write the prescription for me and I had to fill it and bring the medication to my physical therapist since it isn't something that they normally use although they had the equipment.
The way it works is that the medication is injected onto a pad which is then attached to the affected area. (Since I had it in both arms, I had to do it on each arm.) Then a lead is attached to a prong on the pad which goes to a machine. A second (unmedicated) pad is placed on the hip and a second lead is attached to that (it is used as a ground)
Then the machine uses (very mild) electricity to send the medication into the affected area. It takes about 5 treatments of about 30 minutes each.
For me, it really worked. After the first treatment I felt an improvement and it continued to get better. If nothing else has worked for you, I'd definitely look into this.
