About Me

My Embarrassing Musical Moment

by Gunther
(Pittsburgh, PA, USA)

Everyone who is in the musical field knows that they are a lot of different things that can go wrong at any possible time.

Whether it be that something goes wrong with your instrument, or the people playing with you mess up. Any of these things can be extremely embarrassing when you’re up on stage. However, one thing that often gets overlooked is walking onto the stage!.

During my 8th grade band concert, my worst fear came true, which was faltering in some way in front of the whole audience. It was near the end of the concert and I was walking up to the stage to make my performance, when I caught my toe on one of the steps and went down. I had actually sprained my wrist, but of course I was so embarrassed I was only interested in picking myself up.

The other negative side to all of this was that my clarinet broke, so I didn’t get to play!
