Physiotherapy Exercise
For Everyone



Physiotherapy exercise is fundamental to how the discipline of physiotherapy works.

“Physiotherapy is a health care profession concerned with human function and movement and maximising potential:

* it uses physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well-being, taking account of variations in health status

* it is science-based, committed to extending, applying, evaluating and reviewing the evidence that underpins and informs its practice and delivery

* the exercise of clinical judgement and informed interpretation is at its core.”

My own physiotherapy story began when I was looking for a treatment that would help me with my muscular problems that had arisen from playing the bassoon. I had tried chiropractic but hadn't had much success, so a colleague suggested trying a physiotherapist. And after a few sessions I had corrected my muscle problems and was given some exercises to keep the muscle problems at bay!

Unlike a chiropractor the physiotherapist deals with the whole body and not just the spine.
