About Me

Relief at Last

by Hal Koffman
(Kansas City, MO, USA)

I have arthritis in my neck and when my neck starts to hurt it leads to a fully-fledged headache.

Sometimes a pain reliever works, but when it does not, I know it is time to see my chiropractor. She adjusts my neck manually after I relax on a heated table with a roller that moves up and down my back. After just a few visits I can go months without any treatment.

Here is some advice. Some chiropractors use an instrument called an "Activator." It places pressure on the specific areas of the body where pain relief is needed. This does not work for me, I need my neck adjusted manually. You may try the Activator procedure and if it does not give you the relief you need, do not be afraid to get a manual adjustment.

My experience with chiropractors has been positive, and I have never been harmed.
