The Benefits of the Suzuki Methods

by Sarabi
(Nebraska)

The Suzuki Method is one of the best methods available for students wishing to learn an instrument.

Firstly, the Suzuki Method allows for a student to learn several instruments under the same method. Unlike other teaching methods, a student can learn violin and cello and use the same techniques to learn them both, which provides stability.

Secondly, the program allows for growth in both areas of music and music theory providing exercises that strengthen the students ability to hear music and play it, and also their ability to understand music theory.

Lastly, the program allows for the student to learn to play both by themselves and with the teacher. The program often comes with musical accompaniment on CD (or other listening methods) or exercises to play with the teacher that allow the student to learn to play with both.

Overall, this method allows for the student to learn the most by incorporating several different methods of teaching and learning.
