About Me

Two very different experiences.

by H Laakso
(Vääksy, Häme, Finland)

I live in Finland. In 2008 I suffered pain and cramps in my left hand, the cramps became constant and just got worse. I went to a physical therapist and he said I had carpal tunnel syndrome. He treated me with some kind of ultraviolet rays to my wrist. The ray treatment didn't help at all. The therapist also offered to treat my scars with acupuncture.

Finally I went to a doctor and he said I didn't have carpal tunnel syndrome, the problem was elsewhere. I was assigned regular physiotherapy exercises and my condition began to improve. To sum it up, there are different kinds of practitioners, not all of them good. From now on I will always consult a doctor first.
